Our client is a global leader in Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) and cloud services. The company’s new cloud product platform allows their customers to integrate cloud services into multi-cloud deployments for requirements, such as data protection, application delivery, and edge locations. The challenge was to ensure product reliability, peak performance and 100% product uptime before general release.
The scope of the project included the development of new Disaster Recovery (DR) monitoring software and its test framework.
The solution included:
Complete test framework development; predominantly automated testing with manual as applicable; dedicated team of QA engineers,
Developed cloud DR monitoring software for tracking data, events and trends using analytics, workflows and customising actions,
DR feature testing, including hourly automated test runs and failure triaging, as well as automated performance testing of critical features such as synchronous data replication.
Evolved best practices were benchmarked and incorporated in future test plans for effective defect reporting, resulting in continuous improvement of the storage product quality index,
Automated testing project management process with defect tracking and agile project management tools,
Achieved shift-left testing with test automation.
