Our client is a global leader in measurement, precision and medical instruments. They pioneer solutions that empower various industries with high-precision industrial-grade instruments. As laboratories pivot towards more automation and fewer manual processes, our client sought an innovative solution to increase productivity within labs. For this, decision-makers in the lab require more operational insights, particularly in the realm of service contracts, instrument procurement and redeployment. Existing solutions could assess and analyze less than 30% of the instruments in a lab. Additionally, gathering utilisation data demands time-intensive software installations on each computer, straining IT resources. Mindteck was tasked with designing and building a solution suited for all laboratory tools.
Tasked to develop the world’s first one-of-its-kind web-based application for laboratory instruments, we worked closely with the client to understand how laboratories manage their equipment. Drawing on their expertise and insights across multiple departments, our approach relied on working with experts to precisely understand lab use cases, before designing and devising a solution. Understanding the operations of each instrument, its underlying principles, requirements, and unique requirements and needs allowed us to grasp the critical aspects of each instrument’s functionality.
