Mindteck presented a paper on the ‘Role of Embedded Software in Analytical Instruments’
at Pittcon 2010

Mindteck praticipated in this year’s Pittcon in Orlando, Florida during February 28th to March 5th. On March 2nd, Mindeck’s Analytical Instruments domain specialist Dr. K V Krishna made a Poster Presentation on the ‘Role of Embedded Software in Analytical Instruments’ at the Laboratory Management/Informatics session. This presentation provided an analysis of the evolution and future trends in software technologies, the architectures and processes followed for design and development of analytical instruments, with special focus on Life Science and Chemical Analysis instruments. Current trends in instrument software development processes and the best practices followed in the industry were also presented.

Background

The Analytical Instrument industry is undergoing rapid transformation to keep pace with the much required process and instrumentation related automation needs, and the multitude of compliance and regulation requirements. As a result, embedded software has acquired a significant role in translating the technological innovations in this industry. Developing reliable software with increasing functionalities under time and budget constraints is a hindrance to growth for many instrument manufacturing companies.

Mindteck has been instrumental in addressing these core challenges for over a decade, with a strong track record of delivering complex high-end embedded technology solutions to the Analytical Instrument manufacturing companies. The Company specializes in developing embedded electronics and software for instrument control, integration of third-party instrument with Chromatography Data Systems, Data Acquisition/Analysis systems, regulatory compliance support, etc., and perhaps the only third party service provider to have two Analytical Instruments Laboratories at its own premise.
